No Indie Horror On Netflix? No Problem I bleed Indie is Here!! We sit down and talk to the owner Johnny Macabre

1. Ibleedindie.com Please tell the readers what it is all about?
IBleedIndie.com is an indie horror ppv and digital sales website.

2. What makes Indie Horror So important?
Indie horror is important because that is where all of the true creativity in the genre is. Big budget studio horror films are just cash grabs.

3. What is the goal of I bleed indie for the Filmmakers, the Genre & the fans?
For the film makers: It provides a vod platform for indie, especially self distributing, horror film makers where they get 90% of the revenue and keep all of the rights to their film!
For the fans: It provides a place to discover hidden gems they might never find otherwise, all with the knowledge that the money is going right to the source! See a film on Amazon and on ibleedindie? Rent it on ibleedindie. Amazon keeps 50% of revenue, we only keep 10%.

4. What inspired I bleed indie to come into fruition?
My love for indie horror and having helped produce several indie films which ended up being self distributed. It helped me realize just how much of a void there was. Self distribution gives film makers control over their intellectual property, but it also hampers them in some ways such as VOD options. So I aimed to fix that.

5.  With Netflix talking about only showing their own content is this an opportunity for I bleed Indie to become the place to see Horror streaming? where do you see I bleed indie in the next 5 yrs?
I don't think it will ever be the primary place for horror streaming. I won't take big studio films and obviously there will always be a big demand for those. However, in 5 years we would certainly be a contender for traffic and we WILL be the largest online collection of horror long before then. Shudder currently sits in the number one spot with 450 films. We already are closing in on 200 and we have only been in operation for a month.

6. I personally love I bleed Indie why do you think others will love it?
Because if they are like me they are going to love discovering something new. This isn't the place to go to watch your favorite horror film. It's the place to go to find your new favorite you might never have even realized existed! Take a chance, watch something you haven't seen before. A lot of these movies fly under the radar, but there are so many amazing films already on the site!

7. Thank you for talking to us please add anything you want to tell all your viewers & fans out there?
Tell your friends! Like the movies we stream, we don't have a huge marketing budget. Our biggest chance to get the word out is you! Please, support indie horror and help these film makers get the respect they deserve!

I Bleed Indie Is Here, The genre finally answers back to the Neglect of Netflix

Hi, there. I am Johnny Macabre and I am pleased to announce the launch of my new ppv website IBleedIndie.com! IBleedIndie is the first of its kind as it is built from the ground up to support the indie horror genre.

There are many indie film makers who don't want to deal with sales agents and distributors. They choose instead to self distribute. And this choice says nothing of the quality of the films themselves as there are some amazing horror movies released in this manner. But, while it leaves the film makers with full control of their movie, it also severely limits what they can do with it. One area it limits is their VOD options. A self distributed film's only real options before now have been creator-operated Youtube or Vimeo channels, which can't match a service where fans can browse a large catalogue of films to find some they have never heard of.

This is where IBleedIndie.com comes in. We offer a PPV platform for indie horror films, all the while allowing the film makers to keep all rights to their film in non-exclusive agreements where they receive 90% of all revenue from rentals.

We launched yesterday with over 100 feature films with more on the way and a good handful of short films as well. Features on our site rent for 72 hour periods for $3, shorts for $1.

We have film from literally dozens of amazing indie horror film makers and have even gotten on board several indie-friendly distributors like Wild Eye Releasing, All Channel Films, Brink Vision, Self Destruct, Cinema Epoch, SGL, and Artsploitation.

We are offering unlimited free rentals to writers of horror news sites who release this press release. We only ask that if you view a film and like it that you do a review and link to our site.

You can keep up to date by following us on FB at https://www.facebook.com/IB leedIndieVOD/

I am also available for interviews.

Jesse Woodrow (TV’s Charmed) and Tamzin Brown (The Adderall Diaries) are spellbinding in the award-winning** festival fave from writer-director Kyle Broom..

Max is an artist seduced by the allure of fame. Sara is an art critic whose obsessions exceed even his. When she lands a writing gig at a major art magazine, the pair retreats to a cabin in the woods, where Max reveals his strange new painting method. Convinced of its potential, she agrees to collaborate on a piece sure to revolutionize the art world. While both original and mesmerizing, the project reveals something dark and disturbing about their relationship. Like two digital-age Frankensteins, they manage to make a painting come alive - though the unsettling consequences of their success may be more fit for the pages of a blood-soaked tabloid than the chronicles of art history.

The first trailer, stills and poster for the film have been released for the film ahead of a wide release later this year.

Microwave Massacre Arrow Cover & Specs revealed!

MVD Entertainment Group furthers the distribution of Arrow Video in the US with several new titles in August...

Microwave Massacre [Blu-ray + DVD] (August 16th)
THEY CAME FOR DINNER...TO FIND THEY WERE IT!!

Microwave Massacre stars legendary stand-up comedian and actor Jackie Vernon as Donald, a disgruntled construction worker whose wife's predilection for haute cuisine drives him to cannibalism.

Donald unwittingly stumbles upon a solution to his two major problems in his life - his nagging wife and his lack of decent meals - when, one night, he bludgeons his better half to death with a pepper grinder in a drunken rage. Thinking on his feet, Donald dismembers the body and sets about microwaving the remains, which turn out to be rather delicious. Trouble is, now he has a taste for human flesh that needs satisfying...

Eschewing all notions of good taste, Wayne Berwick's Microwave Massacre is a deliciously depraved exercise in political incorrectness that has gone on to gain a cult following thanks to a characteristically deadpan performance from Vernon, who delivers such choice lines as "I'm so hungry I could eat a whore." Vegetarians need not apply!

The Bloodstained Butterfly [Blu-ray + DVD] (August 23rd)

Directed by Duccio Tessari (Death Occurred Last Night, A Pistol for Ringo), The Bloodstained Butterfly melds the lurid giallo traditions popularized by Dario Argento and Mario Bava with courtroom drama, resulting in a film that is as concerned with forensic detail and legal process as it is with grisly murders and audacious set-pieces.

When a young female student is savagely killed in a park during a thunderstorm, the culprit seems obvious: her lover, TV sports personality Alessandro Marchi (Giancarlo Sbragia, Death Rage), seen fleeing the scene of the crime by numerous eyewitnesses. The evidence against him is damning... but is it all too convenient? And when the killer strikes again while Marchi is in custody, it quickly becomes apparent that there's more to the case than meets the eye...

Starring 70s heartthrob Helmut Berger (Dorian Gray, The Godfather: Part III) alongside genre mainstays Evelyn Stewart (The Psychic, The Case of the Scorpion's Tail) and Carole André (Colt 38 Special Squad), and featuring a score by Gianni Ferrio (Death Walks at Midnight), The Bloodstained Butterfly is presented uncut and in a sumptuous new 4K restoration that allows this unique and haunting thriller to shine like never before!

The Mutilator Arrow Films Blu Ray Review

The Mutilator is one of those slasher movies that everyone remembers  the awesome VHS cover Artwork but could never find the film. Made at the tail end of the slasher hey dey The Mutilator belongs right there with all the other slasher classics of the late 70's and early 80's as one of the great slasher movies. It was many years that had gone by in which tons of horror fans had to turn to VHS get a cheap VCR and indulge if they wanted to see this film unless you were lucky enough to catch it another way.
I did just that and still have my VHS copy to this day, but I like many other anxiously awaited its hopeful one day Blu ray or DVD release & it finally came Thank you Arrow Films who have done an amazing job and have gone out of there way and put 110% into bringing you an amazing package. Not only does the film look amazing but the special features all the pics and research they did shows they really care about giving you an amazing product.  The Mutilator tells the tale of a young boy that accidently kills his mother.... Fast fwd years later a group of young kids have decided to party in dads old hang out by the beach where all this happened  & judging by the artwork for the film you can just use your imagination on what happens next. That brings us to the Special FX a lot of people may not know Anthony Showe who is given Top Bill on the VHS Cover for F/X also worked on Chopping Mall, Freddy's Revenge, Satan's Storybook, & Saturday the 14th so the F/X in the Mutilator absolutely delivers. I would recommend picking this up and that any & all horror fans really take a look at Arrow films and what they have to offer, they are really putting out some great stuff.

Delirium Magazine...Print is NOT Dead!

I wanted to do this article on behalf of all horror fans including myself, I can only speak really for me, but if you grew up with Fangoria then you will know what I mean. As a kid I was always fascinated with horror films especially growing up in the heart of the Industry Los Angeles where there was no shortage of movie theaters and Drive ins. I was lucky enough to see many Genre classics in theaters. As I got older I thought I was the only Horror fan. I would go rent four or five horror movies on VHS everyday & invite friends over, it was a lot of fun but they always asked me why I don't rent anything else, needless to say I enjoy all genres of film. So when I picked up a copy of  Fangoria Magazine it was then I knew I wasn't alone and that there were many horror fans out there in the world. I remember reading the magazine everyday as it inspired me to one day make my own films. I became infatuated with reading Fangoria and learning about who directed what & who did the Special F/x on all these films I was into, Fangoria provided me with that knowledge. Fast Fwd it is now 2016 & I still am a Huge Horror fan I have gone on to make 5 films all which are in distribution, I have been lucky enough to have had my name mentioned in Fangoria , Rue Morgue, GoreZone & Delirium. It was an absolute honor. Chris Alexander former editor of Fangoria & now currently with Delirium and http://www.shocktillyoudrop.com/ has done two features on my films, & being an avid reader of all Horror Mags it was a great honor have been interviewed by someone who is very dedicated to the genre in several ways Film , Music, Writing ect.... So why did I choose to write a review of Delirium, At first I thought this was going to be a magazine only dedicated to Full Moon & Charles Band films but I was 100% wrong, Delirium Magazine Covers anything Horror & does a great job at doing so featuring  lots of knowledge  which enables fans like myself to continue to learn about the genre I love so much. The magazine is very informative & has an amazing layout, every page is exciting & you cant wait to see whats on each one as you flip through the pages. You will Get indie news, mainstream news and everything in between. Personally I love Print and tangible media & It saddens me to see physical media dying. Which if you are anything like me then you know we need to support Delirium magazine with all our Blood, You not only get great covers but you get great content as well. Lets Keep Print Alive. you can check out there website at
http://www.deliriummagazine.com/ & get yourself a copy or even a subscription it is well worth it!!

More Killer Titles Coming from Arrow

New from Arrow Video US

The Swinging Cheerleaders [Blu-ray + DVD] (July 5th)

Crimes Of Passion [Blu-ray + DVD] (July 12th)

via MVD Entertainment Group

MVD Entertainment Group furthers the distribution of Arrow Video in the US with several new titles in July...

The Swinging Cheerleaders [Blu-ray + DVD] (July 5th)

They gave it all for their team...

Jack Hill spent the seventies specialising in tough female characters. He made movies about girl gangs (Switchblade Sisters) and women in prison (The Big Doll House, The Big Bird Cage), turned Pam Grier a star with Coffy and Foxy Brown, and contributed to the Cheerleaders line of drive-in favourites with The Swinging Cheerleaders.

Kate, an undergraduate at Mesa University, goes undercover as a cheerleader for her college newspaper in order to expose 'female exploitation in contemporary society'. But instead of oppression she finds love, friendship and a bigger fish to fry: corruption in the football team, headed up by the coach and his pals.

A favorite of Quentin Tarantino, who screened it at the very first Tarantino Film Fest, The Swinging Cheerleaders features a cast of cult favourites including Colleen Camp (Wayne's World, Game of Death), Rainbeaux Smith (Caged Heat, The Incredible Melting Man) and future Playmate of the Month Rosanne Katon.

Crimes Of Passion [Blu-ray + DVD] (July 12th)

She is watched. She is worshipped. And she must remain a mystery.

In the early eighties British enfant terrible Ken Russell travelled to America and placed his unorthodox imprint on a pair of US movies. The first was the Altered States, so out-there its screenwriter disowned it. The second was the equally crazy Crimes of Passion, starring Kathleen Turner (Body Heat, Serial Mom) at the height of her powers.

Fashion designer Joanna Crane (Turner) leads a double life. By night she is China Blue, a prostitute who's attracted the unwanted attention of two men. One is a sexually frustrated private detective hired by her employees. The other is psychopathic priest (played by Norman Bates himself, Anthony Perkins) in possession of a murderous sex toy.

With its outré screenplay by Barry Sandler and over the top score by Rick Wakeman, Crimes of Passion may just be the most outrageous Ken Russell film ever made - and that's quite some feat!

BONUS MATERIALS
- Brand new 2K restoration of the film from original film materials
- High Definition Blu-ray (1080p) and Standard Definition DVD presentations of the director's cut and unrated versions of the film
- Optional subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing

Female Prisoner Scorpion: The Complete Collection [Blu-ray + DVD] (July 26th)

Limited Edition Blu-ray collection (3000 copies)
Starring the iconic and beautiful Meiko Kaji (Lady Snowblood, Stray Cat Rock) in a role that came to define her career, the four-film Female Prisoner Scorpion series charts the vengeance of Nami Matsushima, who assumes the mantle of "Scorpion," becoming an avatar of vengeance and survival, and an unlikely symbol of female resistance in a male-dominated world.
Female Prisoner #701: Scorpion introduces Nami, a gullible young woman unjustly imprisoned, who must find a way to escape in order to exact revenge upon the man who betrayed her. The visually avant-garde Female Prisoner Scorpion: Jailhouse 41 sees director Shunya Ito and star Meiko Kaji re-unite as Nami and six other female convicts escape prison once more. The Gothic horror-inspired Beast Stable finds Nami branded public enemy #1 and on the run. She soon finds refuge with a sympathetic prostitute, but runs afoul of a local gang. The final film in the series, #701's Grudge Song (from director Yasuharu Hasebe, Retaliation, Massacre Gun), shows a gentler side of Nami as she falls in with Kudo, an ex-radical suffering from physical and psychological trauma caused by police torture.

Spiritual kin to Ms. 45, Coffy and The Bride Wore Black, the Female Prisoner Scorpion is the pinnacle of early 1970s exploitation cinema from Japanese grindhouse studio Toei, and one of the greatest female revenge sagas ever told.

James Cullen Bressack Star Horror Director speaks with Deadly Horror

1. You have a family back round in film from what i've read in other reviews but who as a horror director do you think influences your filmmaking the most?
I've always been a huge fan of the works of Takashi Miike, Wes Craven, Frank Henenlotter, and Eli Roth. But I'm really just a horror fan in general and am inspired by so much of what I see. My love of horror films was one of my greatest influence in creating them. I have a DVD collection that is predominantly horror. I use to seek out films no one I knew had see to find the real horror gems.

2. You have come a long way in a short period of time, do you want to continue in horror or is horror just your doorway into other genres eventually?
I will always love horror and want to work in horror but that doesn't mean I don't want to at some point explore other genres as well. I like to tell stories and am interested in seeing what story opportunities I will have.

3. I can see you doing something for a major studio someday, do you think you will ever get to direct something like a Friday the 13th?
I mean that would be great, but who knows. I would love it but as of yet nothing like that has been offered to me. I do love slasher films though and would love to see a resurgence of them sometime soon.
4. Tell us about your latest releases whats new with James C Bressack what's on the horizon?
My next film as a director that's coming out is BETHANY and I am very very excited about it. It's something very specials and I feel it's the best film I have made yet. It's very scary and different. I also have 2 films I produced coming out soon as well, RESTORATION I also cowrote, directed by Zack Ward, and 2 Jennifer; the horror sequel to my film, To Jennifer, directed by Hunter Johnson. Both are great horror films and I really think people will dig them.

5. What advice would you give struggling filmmakers out there who just want to give up?
I would say that the late Wes Craven told me, "this business is all about perseverance." That really resonated with me because it's true. Sometimes things get hard but it's important to overcome those obstacles and keep moving forward .

6. Ive always been a big fan of your films which one of your films is your personal Favorite?
For sure, Bethany. I can't wait to show it to everyone I really feel it's my best.

6. Anything else you want to say to the fans?

Paranoia Chilling supernatural stories by Spooked Televisions Booth Brother Christopher Saint!

I was taken in by this amazing story from start to finish. I didn't expect it to be a very autobiographical piece . I listen with great interest as the storytelling and mood is set by Booth himself doing all the music. You will hear about the early career of one of today's most interesting paranormal team The Booth Brothers all the way up to the adventures which led the Booths to become one of the best paranormal teams exploring the Waverly sanitarium and it's Death tunnel which inspired 2 films by the Booth's for SyFy Television. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys great storytelling and good mood setting you wont want to turn this off and it is in depth and chilling and also interesting all at once. A+

The Italian horror classics finally premiere on Blu-ray in this beautifully restored, limited edition collection.

Emerging at the peak of the giallo boom of the early '70s, Luciano Ercoli's Death Walks films are two superlative examples of the genre linked by their shared casting of the stunning Nieves Navarro (billed under her adopted stage name of Susan Scott) as the lead woman in peril. In Death Walks on High Heels (1971), exotic dancer Nicole (Navarro), the daughter of a murdered jewel thief, finds herself terrorised by a black-clad assailant determined on procuring her father's stolen gems. Fleeing Paris and her knife-wielding pursuer, Nicole arrives in London only to discover that death stalks her at every corner. Returning in Death Walks at Midnight (1972), Navarro stars as Valentina - a model who, in the midst of a drug-fuelled photoshoot, witnesses a brutal murder in the apartment opposite hers. But when it becomes clear that the savage slaying she describes relates to a crime that took place six months earlier, the police are at a loss - forcing Valentina to solve the mystery alone. Offering up all the glamour, perversity and narrative twists and turns that are typical of the giallo genre at its best, Luciano Ercoli's Death Walks on High Heels and Death Walks at Midnight anticipate the super-stylized trappings of Brian De Palma's early psycho thrillers (most notably, Dressed to Kill).

BRIDE OF RE-ANIMATOR [Blu-ray & DVD Limited Edition]

DATE. MATE. RE-ANIMATE. The success of Stuart Gordon's hit horror-comedy Re-animator meant that a sequel was all but inevitable. The resulting follow-up, Bride of Re-animator - this time helmed by director Brian Yuzna (Society, Return of the Living Dead 3) - would prove that there was a good deal more life left in the story of Dr. Herbert West and his ghoulish exploits. It is 8 years since the Miskatonic massacre. Unperturbed by the disastrous outcome of his previous meddling with the dead, Dr. West (again played by Jeffrey Combs) continues his research into the phenomenon of re-animation; only this time, he plans to create life - starting with the heart of his young protégé Dan's dearly deceased, Meg Halsey. Surely nothing could go wrong? With special effects master Screaming Mad George (the man behind the infamous "shunting" sequence in Society) on hand to contribute a host of characteristically weird and wonderful creations - including zombified bats and a one-eyed finger spider - Bride of re-animator is a more than worthy successor to Gordon's original cult classic.

In 1968, acclaimed director Toshio Masuda (Rusty Knife, Tora! Tora! Tora!) and rising star Tetsuya Watari (Tokyo Drifter) teamed up for Outlaw: Gangster VIP, a gritty yakuza yarn based on the writings of real life ex-gangster Goro Fujita. The series offers up a depiction of the Japanese underworld that was unprecedented in its realism and its sympathetic portrayal of its protagonist as a man haunted by his past, unable to escape a life of crime. The success of the initial instalment spawned five sequels, continuing the story of the lone wolf "Slasher" Goro and his quest for redemption. The films presented a new kind of realism and violence that would prefigure Kinji Fukasaku's Battles Without Honor and Humanity series, with their winning combination of brutal violence, gang warfare and sweeping romance, these films make for a unique and unforgettable viewing experience. The set includes six films in the Outlaw series released for the first time in the west: Gangster VIP, Gangster VIP 2, Heartless, Goro the Assassin, Black Dagger, and Kill!

DILLINGER [Blu-ray + DVD]

NOBODY DID IT LIKE DILLINGER! The runaway success of Bonnie and Clyde in 1967 proved massively influential: it made stars of Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty, introduced a new form of violence to the movies, and inspired a stream of imitators, including Bloody Mama, Martin Scorsese's Boxcar Bertha and the directorial debut of John Milius, Dillinger. Milius presents John Dillinger as an almost mythical figure, tracing the rise and fall of the Depression era's Public Enemy Number One as he takes on the banks and the G-men, led by the infamous Melvin Purvis. Starring Sam Peckinpah favourites Warren Oates and Ben Johnson as Dillinger and Purvis, and with a supporting cast including Harry Dean Stanton, Richard Dreyfuss and Michelle Phillips of The Mamas and the Papas, Dillinger is a top drawer gangster picture: explosive, stylish and hugely entertaining.

THE ZERO BOYS [Blu-ray + DVD]
DAWN OF A NEW BREED OF HEROES From cult director Nico Mastorakis, the man behind such eclectic offerings as the controversial Island of Death and the Oliver Reed-starring actioner Hired to Kill, comes The Zero Boys - the genre-bending '80s classic with gruesome sequences that anticipate the torture porn horrors of Hostel and Saw. For a group of young friends, a weekend of survival games in the wilderness turns into a genuine battle of life and death when one of their number turns up dead. Finding themselves hunted by a bloodthirsty band of maniacs intent on slaughtering them one-by-one, the self-styled "Zero Boys" must now play their war games for real. Starring Kelli Maroney (Night of the Comet, Chopping Mall) and featuring an early score from the legendary Hans Zimmer (Inception, The Dark Knight Trilogy), The Zero Boys mixes action, survival and all-out slasher movie elements in a thrilling horror yarn that falls somewhere between Friday the 13th and Deliverance.
